Learn to play the gong and heal yourself, heal your love ones.
The sound of the gong creates deep relaxation, clears the mind and has been proven to be effective in addressing many symptoms that accompany physical illnesses and diseases, from providing pain relief to facilitating regeneration.
In the one day workshop on January 26, 2019, you will learn the techniques for single and combination mallet strikes, major areas and percussion points of the gong, basic skills to build playing sequences to create a gong session and equipment and care of the gong.
You will develop enough confidence to play the gong and the ability to listen, to become one with the gong and to understand how you can tap into the universal sound current.
All levels are welcome to join from first timers who have never played a gong and to those who have had some experience and wish to deepen their skill.
The workshop will culminate with an All-night Gong Puja, a sacred celebration and sound meditation, developed by Grand Gong Master Don Conreaux, where participants will be bathed while sleeping in the healing sound vibrations of the gongs. The Gong Puja lasts 7 ½ hours which is the equivalent of 10 x 45minute gong baths. It is said that the 45 minute gong session would clear any immediate blocks and that 10 sessions would clear most blocks.
During the Gong Puja, each student will play for an allotted time in rotation and should bring a pillow, blanket, anything to be comfortable and is in the size of a yoga mat. Do bring a water bottle, personal toiletries, and photos of those that you would like to send healing to. Please wear white.
Slots limited. Early bird rate for the workshop is P8,000 per student until January 15, 2018. The regular rate is P10,000.
Non-workshop participants may join the All Night Gong Puja for a fee of P3,500 early bird rate or P3,950 regular rate.
The gong workshop will be from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and the overnight all-night Puja will start at 9:00pm and end at 6:00am. The venue is at Rebel Yoga, 6/F Jose Cojuangco Bldg., 119 Dela Rosa St. corner Castro St., Legazpi Village, Makati. For inquiries, SMS (0918) 888-9198 or visit www.bit.ly/GongWorkshopJan26.
